Hanane Bouhouch

I perceive the Arabic letter as a light dwelling within meaning — not merely a geometric form, but a manifestation of the soul in every curve and stroke. I dedicate my artistic journey to exploring the aesthetics of Maghrebi and Sunbuli calligraphy, adopting them as a spiritual path that embodies the silent language of contemplation.

In my work, the canvas becomes a sanctuary of serenity, where letters are inscribed through deep inner listening, and where beauty meets Dhikr (remembrance). Every line leaves an imprint, and every space opens a portal to inner peace.

For I believe that true art is that which is crafted by the heart to be perceived by the eye — that which touches the soul before it is ever seen.
